Mobicosa® GEL

Mobicosa® GEL contains advanced cold processed mussel oil in a pleasantly scented gel. Active ingredient: Greenlipped™ Mussel Oil which contains ETA's, Omega 3 Essential Fatty Acids, Eicosatetraenoic acid (a natural mobiliser). This is topically applied to the tendon or joint to support joint function.

ETA's can support joint function and suppleness which may explain their efficacy in terms of soothing joints quickly, helping to maintain optimum movement and flexibility

Omega-3 Benefits (Essential Fatty Acids)

Omega-3 fatty acids are considered essential fatty acids (EFA's), which means that they are essential to human health, but cannot be manufactured by the body. Omega-3 fatty acids must be obtained from food.

Omega-3 fatty acids can be found in marine products such the New Zealand Greenlipped™ Mussel.

It is important to maintain an appropriate balance of Omega-3 as it plays a crucial role in brain function as well as normal growth and development.

These EFA's considered beneficial for the body is EPA, DHA, ETA and ALA.

ALA is known to convert to EPA and DHA:

EPA assists with skin permeability, condition and tone, with other physiological functions, such as nail strength. EPA assists in the reduction of cholesterol and saturated fat consumption.
EPA is also an anti-inflammatory, beneficial for conditions such as osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.

DHA performs many biological benefits for the body.
The brain is composed of 10% DHA, and higher levels of DHA are associated with greater intelligence.
DHA is also critical for the health of the eyes.

EPAs and DHAs help maintain the fluidity of cell membranes, so assisting nutrient delivery to the cell, and toxic metabolic by-product removal. They also help keep the blood slippery thereby assisting with circulation.

ETA's have profound anti-inflammatory functions, in effect blocking inflammation pathways.
